He knew Lucas was right. There was nothing either any of them could have done.
The thought 'I could have came with you' crossed his mind but he knew that never would have worked. It wasn't possible.
"I know... it just... i don't know. It hurt." He finally admitted.

Flip shuddered at the tone of Lucas' voice. How could anyone act so casual about that?
He took a deep breath, memories of the two of them together flooding his brain. His eyes fluttered closed.
